MOVE WHENEVER YOU CAN
MOVE BEFORE YOU CAN'T

MAP fills the gap between movement as we know it and movement as we want it
to be

Myofascially Activated Posture (MAP) is an therapeutic exercise methodology
to help you move more freely. Moving away from the conventional approach,
which tends towards muscle isolation, we have now come to realise that
movement happens in fascial planes and therefore we need to re-educate
movement patterns and redefine the core.  MAP creates an enhanced, balanced
posture leading to enhanced functional movement in day to day life, as well
as sporting activities. Thus, it assists in safeguarding against injury as
well as aiding In the recovery from injury and relieving nagging aches and
pains.  Correct breathing techniques are emphasized and 'breath-led
movement' is emphasized throughout.

Rennie Whitehouse is a trained MAP therapist as well as being a Pilates
instructor. She is offering group and individual classes at Sunlands Stables
or will travel to your home, if preferred. The sessions are an hour long and
it is recommended that you book at least one private session before joining
an established group class so you can learn the specific breathing and
movement techniques. It also provides the opportunity to look at your
specific needs.

The more agility and correct control the body has, the less pain and injury prone it will be.
As a horse rider we spend hours conditioning our horses body, but what about ourselves,
we need to be as strong and supple as they are.

Well being life improvements include pain relied, posture correction and improved strength.
